Academic Coaching

  • Academic coaching focuses on the administrative part of school. Things like getting started, managing time, planning assignments, and staying organized. Tutoring, on the other hand, focuses on content, like helping a student understand algebra or biology. There’s definitely some overlap: for example, I support many students with writing. But I’m not a writing tutor. What I’ve found is that most students get stuck starting their outline or figuring out how to begin. Once they get past that part, they’re often able to complete the assignment on their own. My goal is always to help students understand and take advantage of the subject-specific support that’s available to them, whether that’s meeting with their teachers or professors, using peer tutoring or writing centers, or finding a private tutor if needed.

  • Most of my students are in high school or college. Middle school students can benefit from the School Skills Starter Pak, which lays a strong foundation. For younger students, I typically work with parents directly, offering strategies to support their child. Once a student reaches high school or college, the coaching relationship tends to be most effective one-on-one.

  • Academic coaching helps students who:

    • Struggle to get started on assignments

    • Forget deadlines or miss due dates

    • Avoid reaching out for help, even when they need it

    • Want to do well but can’t seem to stay on top of things

  • Not at all! While many of my students do have ADHD or executive functioning challenges, academic coaching is helpful for any student who wants to improve their planning, time management, and follow-through. These are skills most schools don’t explicitly teach, but they make a huge difference.

  • Nope! Some of my favorite clients are ambitious, high-achieving students taking tough classes who want help managing the workload and still having a life. Coaching can help them work smarter and reduce burnout.

  • We always start with a 30-minute consultation with parents. If it seems like a good fit, we schedule a Discovery Session with the student. That session helps both the student and me understand their goals, what's getting in the way, and whether coaching is the right next step. If either of us feels it’s not the right time, we won’t move forward.

  • We meet over Zoom and the student shares their screen. We go through their academic portal class by class, make sure all assignments from the prior week are submitted, check for updates, and note upcoming assignments, tests, and projects. Together, we build a weekly plan in their planner so they know exactly what they need to do each day. We’ll also draft emails to professors if needed and make a plan for office hours or social events. After the session, I follow up via text throughout the week for added accountability and support.

  • Some students make noticeable progress after just one session. Others take a few months to find their rhythm. In general, you can expect a clear sense of how things are going by the end of the first term. For lasting change, many students benefit from at least three terms of consistent coaching.

  • All sessions are held on Zoom. I’ve found virtual coaching to be even more effective than in-person because students can share their screen, and we can work efficiently without hovering or distractions.

  • Yes! Parents can schedule a monthly 30-minute check-in with me. If there’s ever a concern (academic or emotional), I’ll always reach out. That said, the primary relationship is between me and the student. Building that trust and independence is a big part of what makes coaching work.

  • That depends on your student’s age and skill level. For high school students, some parental involvement is important. For college students, many parents start off more involved and then naturally step back. Coaching often helps reduce academic-related conflict at home and gives everyone some breathing room.

  • Yes! I check in via text during the week to offer reminders, encouragement, and help troubleshooting when things come up. Students really appreciate that ongoing support.

  • Most sessions are 60 minutes, once a week. Occasionally, we may schedule an additional working session to support a specific task, like outlining a research paper or preparing for a an upcoming exam.

  • The Starter Pak is designed to teach the foundational skills students need to succeed. Ongoing coaching offers more hands-on practice, accountability, and support for implementing those skills week by week.

  • If your student isn’t open to it, it’s probably not the right time. I’m always happy to talk with you about how to approach the conversation. If your student is open to meeting for a Discovery Session, we can use that time to explore their goals and see if coaching feels like a good fit for them.

  • If your student misses a session, I’ll do my best to find a time to reschedule. If they don’t follow through, the session is still billed. If a student misses multiple sessions in a term, we’ll revisit whether coaching is the right fit at this time.

  • When parents are covering the cost, we start with a 30-minute consultation just for parents. After that, we’ll schedule the Discovery Session with your student. This session is one-on-one with the coach to support an open, honest conversation and help us determine together if coaching feels like a good fit.

  • The Discovery Session helps us get clear on goals, challenges, and what success would look like. It also gives both me and your student a chance to assess if coaching feels right. Long-term success starts with clarity and buy-in.

  • There is a charge for the Discovery Session. It’s a working session where we begin building an action plan and setting expectations.

  • Academic coaching is offered on Mondays and Tuesdays. This gives students the rest of the week to implement their plans and get support between sessions.

  • It depends. If your student is in high school, regular check-ins are often still helpful. If they’re in college, coaching may allow you to step back more. Either way, many families find that coaching reduces friction around school and improves parent-student relationships.

  • For high school students, we recommend committing to six months. For college students, a semester is a good starting point. While some students make great progress quickly, others benefit most from consistent support across several terms.

Productivity

  • Productivity coaching is all about helping you get things done with less stress. We work together to build habits, routines, and systems that support you in feeling more in control of your time, energy, and to-do list.

  • Therapy focuses on the why. Productivity coaching focuses on the how. We might touch on why something is challenging for you, but most of our time is spent on practical steps forward. Business coaching often focuses on growth strategies or leadership development, whereas I focus more on helping you follow through, stay organized, and manage your time effectively. Many clients find productivity coaching complements their work with a business coach or therapist.

  • I work with clients across a variety of industries, including entrepreneurs, small business owners, and ambitious working moms. Most clients reach out to me directly, but I’ve also been hired by companies to support high-potential employees.

  • Absolutely. These are two of the most common areas we start with. We’ll set up tools and practices to keep your inbox from running your life, and make sure your calendar reflects your actual priorities.

  • Yes! Many of my clients are fairly organized but still overwhelmed by the volume of tasks, emails, and shifting priorities. They want help making their systems work smarter so they can reduce decision fatigue and actually enjoy their time.

  • That’s the goal. Productivity coaching is about helping you follow through consistently, not just once in a while. We’ll test what works, simplify where possible, and focus on habits that are sustainable for you.

  • The truth is, most tools work. It’s how you use them that makes the difference. Productivity coaching helps you figure out what’s getting in the way of consistent follow-through, and how to make the tools you already have actually work for you.

  • Yes. Coaching can help you see where your time and energy are going so you can realign with what matters most. Many clients discover that small shifts, like blocking time for rest, planning for connection, or simplifying their calendar, have a big impact on their wellbeing.

  • In my practice, there’s a lot of overlap. I support each client based on how their brain works. My background includes extensive training in executive functioning and ADHD strategies, which means I tailor tools to work with your brain, not against it.

  • Definitely. Many of my clients suspect they have ADHD or identify with ADHD traits but don’t have a formal diagnosis. That doesn’t change the support I offer. We focus on building systems and structures that help life feel more manageable.

  • Every session is a little different depending on your goals, but we usually start by checking in on what’s working and what’s feeling hard. We might do a brain dump, review your calendar or inbox, problem-solve a challenge, or map out a new habit or routine. The time is yours. We use it where it’s needed most.

  • Yes. I’m a big believer in starting small and building from what’s already working. We often use habit stacking or micro-routines to create a rhythm that feels doable and energizing.

  • We’ll explore tools like paper planners, visual timers, reoccurring reminders, and custom workflows to help you better see your time and break down overwhelming tasks. We also focus on creating supportive environments that reduce distractions and make it easier to get started.

  • Yes. Many clients come to coaching looking for better ways to communicate with family or coworkers. We can explore things like setting expectations, holding weekly check-ins, or building systems that reduce tension and improve collaboration.

  • Yes! I’m happy to collaborate as part of your support team. It can be really helpful to work in tandem with a therapist, business coach, or medical provider.

  • We often begin with email, calendar, task/project management, and note-taking. From there, we customize based on your life, goals, and brain.

  • It varies. Some clients need a short reset; others prefer ongoing support as they build and maintain new systems. We’ll check in regularly to make sure coaching is still serving your goals.

  • Not at all! Many of my clients have ADHD, but many do not. What they all have in common is a desire to feel less overwhelmed and more in control of their time and energy.

  • Productivity coaching is offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

  • All sessions are held on Zoom. Sessions can be recorded if you’d like to review them later.

ProJect Management

  • We support a wide variety of projects, from exciting new product launches to behind-the-scenes systems improvements. We’ve helped clients create onboarding procedures for new employees, set up better financial workflows for tax preparation and monthly reporting, and even get caught up on tax filings that are years overdue. No project is too big or too small!

  • Absolutely! This is often where we add the most value. When clients feel overwhelmed and unsure of where to begin, we break projects down into manageable steps and help delegate tasks to your team or support you directly, whatever works best for you.

  • That depends on your preferences. Sometimes we handle tasks directly while keeping you updated. Other times, we coach and guide you so you can take ownership and confidently manage the work moving forward.

  • We provide accountability through regular check-ins, encouragement, and by setting realistic, actionable goals. Our approach is all about building your confidence step-by-step while keeping you motivated.

  • Yes! While most of our work is business-related, we also assist clients with personal projects when needed. We’re happy to help wherever you need support.

  • We’re familiar with a wide range of tools and platforms, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. If we encounter a tool we haven’t used before, we’ll be upfront about it. We’re quick learners who can adapt to new systems as needed.

  • Project timelines vary depending on the size and complexity of the project. Many clients are pleasantly surprised by how quickly we can get even large projects underway and moving forward.

  • While we can’t control others, we support you in improving communication, setting clear boundaries, and maintaining regular check-ins. This usually helps you feel more in control and reduces the chance of being overwhelmed or taken advantage of.

Business Organization

(On-Site in Albany, NY)

  • We partner with a wide range of businesses, from solo entrepreneurs and small businesses with up to 20 employees, to government agencies and individual team members within larger organizations.

  • For business organizing, we primarily work in person to get hands-on with your physical space. The exception is digital organizing for individual employees, which often works well over Zoom.

  • Yes! We organize both your physical office spaces and digital files. Both are essential for a smooth, efficient workflow that keeps your business running well.

  • First, we’ll come see your office as it is now. This helps us understand your current workflow and identify what’s working and what needs to change. Our goal is to create lasting organizational systems that truly support your business.

  • We can organize your physical paperwork into an effective filing system, but we also help you reduce paper clutter by digitizing where possible. Sometimes that means questioning whether certain things need to be printed at all.

  • It depends on your needs. Sometimes we work primarily with leadership, supporting them in rolling out the organizational process. Other times, we work directly with individual team members to help them get organized.

  • That varies based on the size of the project and how many people are involved. We’ll discuss your specific needs to provide a clearer timeline.

  • Nope! Please don’t. Seeing your space as it is helps us understand what’s working and what’s not. That’s key to creating effective solutions.

  • Never. It’s always your decision what stays and what goes. We'll ask thoughtful questions to help you make choices, but the final say is yours.

  • You’re definitely not alone. Many people feel that way at first. There’s zero judgment here. Our only goal is to help you go from overwhelmed to organized.

  • Yes. You’ll have plenty of breaks, but your involvement is essential to make decisions and learn the new systems as we go. This helps make the changes stick.

  • Half-day sessions typically last between 4 and 5 hours.

Speaking

  • We love speaking about all things productivity, how to get more done, build better systems, create sustainable habits, and stop procrastinating. We also speak often about executive functioning and how to develop more independent, confident students. Whether it’s for professionals, parents, educators, or students, we focus on practical strategies that actually make life easier.

  • Absolutely. We love tailoring our talks to fit the specific needs of your group. That said, we also have a library of ready-to-go presentations and workshops that may be a perfect fit and are often more budget-friendly.

  • That depends on your event and audience. Keynotes typically run 45–60 minutes. Workshops are often 90 minutes to 2 hours, which allows time for hands-on activities and implementation.

  • My style is engaging, warm, and practical. I love using real-life stories (since we all remember stories better than stats) and making sure the takeaways are easy to apply in everyday life. I always aim to make people feel seen, understood, and motivated.

  • Yes, we offer both! While we love being in the room when possible, many groups also benefit from virtual sessions, especially for follow-up workshops or remote teams.

  • Easy! Just click here to schedule a free 30-minute consultation. We’ll talk through what you’re looking for and see if it’s a good fit.

  • Pricing varies depending on the length, format, and level of customization. After our consultation, I’ll put together a proposal, often with a few different options to choose from.

  • Yes! We’re happy to share handouts, slides, or digital follow-up materials that help reinforce the message and keep the momentum going.
